The dense fog in New Delhi caused over 400 flights to be delayed, 19 to be diverted, and around 45 to be canceled.
Delhi recorded the longest duration of zero visibility this season, with a nine-hour stretch from 11.30 pm on Friday, January 3, to 8.30 am on Saturday, January 4.
Despite the severe weather, flight operations were gradually restored from 1.30 am onwards, with only minor delays.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) anticipates similar foggy conditions in northwest India on Sunday, which could continue to affect flight schedules.
Over 50 trains were delayed across the national capital by an average of four to six hours due to near-zero visibility.
